How this started.
Hi, I’m Mikayla. I'm the owner of Scrub-a-Buckle, a stay-at-home mom of three beautiful children, and someone who understands firsthand just how quickly car seats, strollers, and baby gear can become covered in crumbs, spills, and everyday messes.
Originally born and raised in South Africa, I now call Minnesota home, where I spend my days raising our three little ones alongside my wonderful husband. We adore our children beyond words, and they are the inspiration behind this business.
As a mom, I know how valuable your time is and how important it is to keep your child's gear clean, safe, and ready for every adventure. That's why I started Scrub-a-Buckle to help provide families with a convenient, trustworthy service that takes one more task off your never-ending to-do list.
Scrub-a-Buckle is truly a family-run business. While I handle the cleaning and detailing, my husband occasionally assists with pick-ups and drop-offs to help make the process as convenient as possible for our customers.

Every item is cleaned with the same attention to detail and care that I would give my own children's gear, following manufacturer cleaning guidelines whenever applicable.

I get it because I live it.
My three kids ride in car seats, eat in high chairs, and ride in strollers every single day. I know what goldfish dust looks like ground into the buckle. I know the smell of a forgotten sippy cup found three weeks later. I know what it's like to dread the cleanup more than the mess itself.
Every piece of gear I clean gets the same care I give my own kids'. If I wouldn't put my baby back in it, I wouldn't feel comfortable handing it back to you.
